Fresh embarkations are always supported by age-old wisdom, and with the expansion of front-end development in today's web, tried and true software architecture principles seem to be getting along with front-end development paradigms as evidenced by the changes in Action Script 3.0, Silverlight with the Expression Suite of tools, Ajax frameworks and the like.
Okay, maybe I'm just getting older. However, I do like the powerful potential I see on the horizon for web clients.
